Default New Assassin Skills

To make the sin work better, many think it needs better shadow-stepping skills.

AoD is an elite enchant that lets players shadowstep to and away, as well as enables Golden Phoenix Strike. But Shadowstepping should be core to a sin and using this elite to do something that is core to the sin is sort of a waste. There is also Deathcharge, which adds some healing, but is on a 45 sec timer. It would be much better with a shorter timer and would solve some problems with the class. Recall and Return are escape skills only.

So...

Shadow Blade - (10e,1cast, 20r) Lead Attack skill Shadow-step to target enemy and attack for +1...12. (Dagger Mastery)

Pursuing Strike (5e, 10r) Off-hand strike, must follow lead attack. Shadow-step to target enemy and attack. (Deadly Arts)

Ectoplastic Rip- (10e, 1cast, 15r) Lead Attack skill. Shadow-step to target enemy and attack. This skill causes player to be crippled for 10...2 seconds) (Shadow Arts)

there will be no new assassin skills wih nigthfall. sins and rits are not core classes, no new skills or content for them. they are just relegated in their factions limbo

^^^ Not for sure. You don't know 100% And anyway, so what? Maybe they will add a Factions area like FoW with new skills.

In the last radio thing... Izzy said he wasn't 100% sure on a "no" or "yes". They may add more skills, they mat not.

The Assassin and Ritualist will only be available with Factions, so it would be better to add new skills to Factions on a periodic basis too keep them current. Outside of further insentive for die hard Assassin and Rit players, there is little reason to add chapter specific class skills to other chapters, they won't work for anything you can create in that chapter.

I like the skill ideas, they are a great way to improve common functions of the Assassin, and even with long recast times, Attack based shadowsteping can be recharged with Mobius Strike.

Normal Shadowsteping skills take up a slot of their own, I think their recast times should be reduced significantly, but a attack + shadowstep, covers 2 neccessities on its own, so the recast times should be a bit higher from 20-30 seconds.

Just gotta love Glass Half Empty kind of people. Always seeing doom and gloom on the horizon. Never a happy moment to look forward to from day to day; why get up? Well that’s how it always was, that’s how it will always be… tsk tsk

Your type of outlook has no hope, how very sad.....

ANET has NOT made any 100% official statement on the matter. I am sure they are seriously considering it with all the requests for them. After all they want people to make other Flavor classes and they want to keep their customers happy. People make characters for the long run. I know the Assassin and Rit does need a few more skills to be complete. I like your suggestion OP.

I personally considered the CORE classes incomplete with GWP. I now consider them complete and not needing anything new. I can't say that with the SIN or RIT. Also players who have tested the classes for months now can now see the creation flaws and what is needed to bring them into balance of CORE classes. I am sure ANET will listen to these people, being wise as they are…

ShadowStepping is under Deadly Arts, Shadow Arts, and No Attribute, I think there are 9 or so, but a most of them are rather weak.
